*On one side, Landrobe is arriving at Domino at the Island Monorail station. He gets his bearings together as he steps out.*

*but meanwhile, somewhere else in the city, a young boy with long black hair slinks around in the backstreets and alleys, glasses glinting to show some very purple eyes. He rubs his head, groaning.*

Of all the ways to wake up... I trapped those people who had me and I ran off, realized it was the infirmary, panicked and got here... But now I can't remember why I was here in the first place. I should've gone and checked if any notes were around. And I have the worst headache, too... *he pats his side a bit, and then grumbles*

I don't even have my deck or my disk on me. This is the worst.

*he flicks out a phone instead, seemingly from nowhere, brushing the hair out of his line of sight*

What to do, what to do... Do I just bother making those if I want to have any fun...? Do I even want to right now? It'd be better than going back, I guess... *he starts muttering instead.*

Hey buddy, guess who's waiting for you at the monorail station? She looks like she's about to step onto and head back to the island.

Blinks slowly at you. The tips of some parts of her hair are burnt and her combat boots are covered in soot.

"...he is... not on island?"

*oh. dang. He sighs, rubbing his arm.*

No, he's not.

"Was about to head back out and help you look if needed. Sorry am late, business took longer than expected."

She kicks some of the soot off.

"You will definitely need me to sniff out now, yes?"

I guess, but I still think it's a bad idea...

She blinks.

"Is it because he is dangerous?"

Does Lucius come off as dangerous, somehow...?

Limping through alleys and back ways back to his garbage apartment, one arm in a makeshift sling. He looks like he's gone a few rounds with something terrible, and he's muttering and cursing under his breath.

"Fuckin' kids these days what are they feeding her, a steady diet of dragon hearts? Fuck. No one gets ta know 'bout this."

"Is only reason I can think of you saying it is a bad idea."

*You approach where the boy is, and he looks up, slipping behind a wall. He can't help but think, "people actually come this way??"*

I just wonder if he'd really want anyone else involved...

"Can do what I did with big brother. Sniff out, hang back. If you need help, hop in?"

I probably won't need help. Maybe.

He blinks. ... was there someone who was.. here?

"Yer losin' it Cyril. Jus' 'cause the ogre clings ta fuckin' shadows dun mean yer gonna be stalked by that terrible family all fuckin' day. Ugh, I 'ope I've got that wine left."

He smacks his cheek with his good arm, continuing his limping walk past the wall.

*he waits until Cyril clears it, before slipping past and going the other direction. He just needs to be quiet, that's all. He doesn't want weird guys talking about ogres and dragon hearts talking to him...*

"Will be here just in case, okay? Am I right that like Garum-py skirt smells like wind and you like earth, Lucius will be dark?

Am here if you need me, Landrobe."

She smiles gently and begins sniffing at the air.

"Garum-py skirt"?

Cyril's too caught up in his own angry whispering to even notice someone behind him, unless they're seven feet tall and looking for revenge.

"Fuck, 'ope that kid's okay. Landrobe's prolly got this. I 'ope."

He stops. Even beat up as he is, probably in better shape than Landrobe is on a daily basis. With a heaving sigh, he spins on his feet and sucks in his breath as he turns around.

"It's like Garum-py pants, but a skirt because I think he looks better in dresses and..."

She gets a weird look on her face as she stares up.

"Oh my goodness I didn't say that! Don't tell him I said that in front of you please please!"

*Well there's a familiar kid of shape size and hair color there, focusing on sneaking away.*

Every day is a fucking rollercoaster of luck for me, isn't it.

"...Oy! Lucius? That ya, buddy?"

Not like it matters. Him or I wearing skirts isn't that weird.

"Really?! This is best family. Oh my goodness we can all go out together in dresses and put Lucius in one..."

She trails off, staring up again.

This is gonna suck. The things I do because the alternative is drinking myself into a coma.

He starts running after you, occasionally letting out a grunt of pain but he's starting to gain.

"Oy! It's Cyril, y'know, from the community?! I ain't gonna be a bad influence tonight, jus' tryin' ta make sure ya get back ta yer dorm! We can go scum 'round town sometime later this week, aight?"

*geh, this guy's following me. What's he even talking about?

He flicks out his phone, scrolling down quickly before pressing something.
