[Post and Story]
So, um... something just attacked me last night, while I was in the park.
It seemed to be some weird... insect thing with weapons. Thing is though, after I had fought back against it, it turned into a human woman? She was kinda unconscious, so I got an ambulance and left by the time it arrived. Didn't really want her asking weird things.
Does that usually happen?

[Story]
Of course, that wasn't the whole story.
The real story is that Sanae had been with Shouya-- who was more commonly known as "Lucius" in some circles, mostly to berate them teasingly on staying with Mrs. Wakahisa and other, various choices-- one of those choices being Shouya trying to be a girl instead of a boy, now that they were free of the abusive influences that made them retreat into presenting as a boy... but that was another thing entirely, and half of why Sanae wasn't giving the whole story.
It was while they were both talking that the insect creature had arrived, and had charged Sanae... Who had responded by hitting them with a giant hand of sand, and making them crash into one of the park trees.
The thing that had caught his eye though was a glowing necklace going flying after the impact, and be it by whim or instinct, he manipulated the sand to safely catch the necklace, which appeared to be... a strange crystal? Whatever the case was, the insect was suddenly a human. An unconscious human at that.
After they had both contacted an ambulance (or, more accurately, Shouya called since they're the one with the magic smartphone.) they had both trekked to and retreated to their room at Noriko's mansion, as they looked at the crystal necklace that was now suspended in a sort of box Shouya summoned up.
"... So what is it?" Sanae asked this, as though expecting his younger cousin to have all of the answers.
"I-I don't know. I don't even know why you decided to grab it, you know-- all I know is that once it was off of that girl, she turned back to normal... So it might cause a transformation of sorts." They tapped at the box slightly, as a digital read-out of sorts appeared over it.
"It seems like... it's made of a form of data, actually. Or it's giving off something like it." "Data?"
Shouya nodded, reading through the gibberish that was displayed. "It's like a program is being run, but I don't really know what it is immediately... but I'm guessing it's tied to the transformation she went through?" They tapped a few more times, as Sanae thought for a moment.
"... I wonder if there's more of these things." He leaned in closer to the crystal that was suspended there, as it gave off an eerie golden-brown hue. "You think you might be able to pull it apart if I give you the time?"
"Well..." Shouya trailed off slightly. Sanae was thinking of something, something that probably wasn't good, but what else could they say? "Probably. I think I might be able to do something. Or at least Sen'ya might be able to brute force it."
"Well, either one of you. I'm curious about what this thing can do, if it's basically like a program." He gave a very weak smile at his cousin. "Pretty much right up your alley with your ability, right?"
Shouya was somewhat encouraged by that, as they nodded, flicking up to make the readout vanish. "I guess if anything is... But don't expect a miracle or something, alright? I think this thing's dangerous."
"Eh, if it's really dangerous, we can shatter it then. It looks pretty fragile, to me. ... Say, you think you could also figure out any way to track if others exist?"

Though you shouldn't be getting into fights with bug ladies, Sanae.

Plus she turned into a human after she was unconscious. So I think she might've been a human.

I mean, I keep winning at places and these guys in black suits keep pestering me about it.

There's so many of you Samasu, though]
No?

She seemed really angry at me, what with all of the charging she tried to do at me.

Do I know you?

Though... Huh. For some reason, you seemed weirdly familiar. Like a sense of déjà vu. Probably nothing though.

Year.
I think.

I'm straining to remember, but I think I repressed most of the past year. Too much nonsense with the SJL to bother remembering, so I look towards the future now.
You do look familiar though, Mr. Bug Person Expert.

... ... That rings a bell, but this feeling is different.
